Midland Prairie Enterprises, LLC (“Midland Prairie,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)


Quick Summary

  • If your file/link is defective (e.g., corrupted download or non-working link) and you contact us within 14 days of purchase, we’ll replace the file or re-enable the download at no charge.
  • We offer format swaps and accessibility remediation. If we cannot reasonably remediate an accessibility issue within a practical timeframe, we will refund you.


This policy supplements our Terms of Use and does not limit any rights you may have under mandatory consumer laws that apply to you.


1.) What This Policy Covers

This policy applies to every Digital File you buy from us (e.g., EPUB, PDF, MP3, DOCX, XLXS, etc.). It explains when you can get a replacement, format swap, or refund, and what we need from you to help fast-track a resolution.


Key definitions (plain language):

  • Delivered: Your order is “delivered” when the download link is provided or the file is made available in your account.
  • Defective: A Midland Prairie download link that does not work, or a file that is corrupted or materially incomplete (e.g., missing chapters due to a packaging error).

  

2) All Sales Final (with important exceptions)

Because Digital File(s) are instantly deliverable and can’t be “returned” in the traditional sense, all sales are final once a download link is delivered or a download begins.

Exceptions: We will replace, re-enable, or refund in the following cases:

  • Defective file or link (14-day window).
    • If your file is corrupted or your download link fails, email support@midlandprairie.com within 14 days of purchase. We will replace the file or re-enable the download at no charge.
    • We may ask for basic details (order number, error messages, screenshots, device/reader app) to diagnose and fix quickly.
  • Wrong title delivered or duplicate purchase.
    • If you received the wrong product, we will correct the order.
    • If you accidentally bought the same title twice on the same account, contact us within 14 days. At our reasonable discretion we will refund the duplicate or issue store credit after verifying both purchases remain unused (e.g., unopened second download).
  • Format compatibility assistance.
    • If your device/app doesn’t support the format you chose, we’ll help you swap to an available alternative format (e.g., EPUB ↔ PDF, if we offer both).
    • Format swaps are a courtesy remedy, not a refund, and are subject to availability.
  • Accessibility remediation.
    • If you need an accessible version or fixes (e.g., alt text, navigation), email  accessibility@midlandprairie.com, subject line “Accessibility Issue.” We will acknowledge within 2 business days and provide a remediation timeframe.
    • If we cannot provide a reasonable accessible alternative within that timeframe, we will refund you upon request.
  • Where the law requires a refund.
    • Nothing here limits your statutory rights. If the law in your location mandates a refund in a given scenario, we will honor that.

      

3.) What isn’t refundable

To keep prices fair for all readers, we can’t offer refunds for:

  • Incompatibility with third-party software or devices where an alternate format we offer works (we’ll assist with format swaps);
  • Institutional licenses or bulk purchases covered by a separate agreement;
  • Accounts with suspected abuse (e.g., repeated refund requests inconsistent with ordinary use).

If you’re unsure your device supports a format, please contact us before buying—we’re happy to help.

  

4.) How to request help (replacement, swap, or refund)

Email: support@midlandprairie.com

Include:

  • Order number and account email
  • Title purchased and file format (EPUB, PDF, MP3, DOCX, XLXS, etc.)
  • Description of the issue and any error messages
  • Your device/OS and reading app (e.g., iOS Books, Kobo, Kindle app, Adobe Reader)
  • Screenshots if possible

Response times: We aim to acknowledge within 1–2 business days and resolve most issues within 5 business days.

  

5.) Refund method & timing

When a refund is approved, it will be issued to your original payment method (or to store credit if you choose), typically within 5–10 business days after approval. Your bank or card issuer controls the final posting time.

  

6.) EU/UK customers: digital-content withdrawal

If you are in the EEA or UK, you may have a 14-day withdrawal right for distance purchases of digital content. When you choose immediate download, you acknowledge delivery will begin right away and you may lose the statutory withdrawal right for that order to the extent permitted by law. If you do not consent to immediate download, we will delay access until your withdrawal period ends or provide a means to cancel during that period, consistent with applicable law.

  

7.) Security, malware, and integrity

We strive to deliver standards-compliant, malware-free files and test our Digital File(s) and Service on common systems. Because environments vary, we cannot guarantee behavior across all devices/apps. If you suspect a file integrity issue, contact us—we will replace any corrupted file or re-enable your download link within the 14-day window. See Product Standards page for more information.

  

8.) Chargebacks

If you believe your payment method was used without authorization, contact your bank and notify us at fraud@midlandprairie.com, subject line “Suspected Fraud.” We may suspend access to affected downloads while we investigate. Misuse of chargebacks (e.g., disputing a legitimate, delivered purchase) may result in account limits or termination.

  

9.) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. For material changes, we will post the new version and provide advance notice (e.g., a banner or account/email notice). The Last updated date above shows the current version.

  

10.) Your rights

This policy applies in addition to our Terms of Use. Nothing in this policy limits your non-waivable statutory rights (consumer, accessibility, or other mandatory protections) where they apply.
